The beginning of Ruin Falls by Jenny Milchman was very annoying, I just wanted to slap the main character Liz for being so weak and dependent. I almost stopped reading. After Liz takes back the reins of her life, Ruin Falls is actually a good book. The second half of the book was hard to put down. Praise for Jenny Milchman and Ruin Falls "[Jenny] Milchman has a gift that allows her to delve deep into the mind and psyche of her characters, and fans of dark plots like the works of Gillian Flynn will find another author to savor."—RT Book Reviews "Essential for psychological thriller fanatics.

More about Jenny Milchman. About Jenny Milchman. The best way for me to cope with envisioning that thin gray line--you know the one I mean; we all fear crossing it--is to write a novel, and thus was Ruin Falls born. But no children were harmed in the making of this book.

I am a writer who can't stand much danger, appearances to the contrary notwithstanding. Ruin Falls Jenny Milchman. Ballantine, $26 (p) ISBN More By and About This Author.

“Ruin Falls” is the second stand alone novel, which was released in the year Liz Daniels has got every reason to be happy right now, as she is about to go on a rare family vacation. It will give her a chance to leave behind her remote home in the Adirondack Mountains for a bit. She is uneasy, though.

Milchman has been answering her own question, commencing with COVER OF SNOW and continuing in RUIN FALLS, which is built upon a subject that is every parent’s terror. Liz Daniels, the mother of two small children and wife of Paul, has found her niche as an organic farmer and creating a small but growing supply company with her best friend.

I recently read Ruin Falls by Jenny Milchman, a suspense author. This is her second novel and I found it to be quite a good read. Typically, the suspense genre is not one of my favorites, but the description on the jacket caught my attention right away and what I found /5(10).

Ruin Falls, the sophomore novel by the amazing Jenny Milchman, is a roller coaster of a book that follows Liz as she searches for her children in the overbearing Adirondack mountains. The normally-complacent woman who never raises a a fuss is, for the first time, forced into a situation that will draw her fighting spirit out.4/5.
